Heya everyone! I see i'm not the only one who misses this game a lot as well. I've come with an interesting topic for the revival of Free Realms. It has been a while since this game first came out in 2009. Since its sunset in 2014, technology has improved greatly around us especially towards the world of gaming. I have a question for fellow Free Realms fanatics like yourselves about bringing Free Realms back for a price. As more games are coming out, there is a trend of making games that only work with an internet connection just like Free Realms. Games like Destiny (Bungie) and The Division (Ubisoft) show how successful online games are. With that being in mind, there are a lot of development teams joining in on strictly online games. I eventually asked myself "Why not Free Realms?". I've noticed some of these forums and it seems that most of you still have some files for some concepts of the game. It wouldn't be a bad idea to think about asking some dev teams to make for a game similar to Free Realms without any copyright issues. They could probably remaster the whole game and create a new and improved character creation system. Some developers for sports games have made it as easy as taking a clear selfie and importing the picture straight on a character's face (EA Sports makes it look so easy). I've noticed in the past few years that dev teams are listening to their fans on ideas for new games, making it easier on themselves to make their fanbases happy. All we really need is an RPG kinda like Elder Scrolls but more kid friendly and a little similar to the Free Realms gameplay and possibly sell for $60 (equivalent to other currencies as well). It could even be sold as a console game as well as a PC game with add ons like how the Membership and Station Cash options worked. It sounds like a good idea but we need more supporters to get some attention.
Just a thought.

Hey, this poll is a great idea. I hope a lot of people here will give their opinion. I pay a monthly fee to play an online game, and I also invest a small sum every month for my favourite browser based farm game. It would be definitely ok for me to pay for FreeRealms

It would be definitely ok for me to pay for FreeRealms Daybreak games could probably make a gold mine off charging fans for an old game that they probably still have all the files to. We should probably get their attention but they always say they don't bring games back after its sunset but they'll probably make an exception considering how popular the game was.

Why don't you guys collaborate with another gaming company? you could petition for a free to play arch that works with pay to play options, Freerealms came out around the same time as Wizard101 and they had 2 very different outcomes. Have a plan to set up either a membership or a buy to play system so you can support yourselves, this is going to cost some serious dough to kickstart again and if you want free to play you'll need donations from fans and sponsors. Why not set a money goal for fans and use a platform like Patreon to earn enough to afford more developers and such or sell the entire game to another game company. Freerealms is still quite popular but it seems you all are lacking manpower, if you can't restart it just look for a company that will do it in your name for you (you could even enlist to help or something, not really an expert on these things I just REEEAAALLLYYY want the game to be accessible) anyway, this is just a huge suggestion and I don't know how gaming companies work or how to get things like this off the ground I'm just really desperate for a rerelease of Freerealms under any name to be honest. If push comes to shove why not just create a private server and run off donations or whatever, Acheage has a private server called Archerage and it works just like the actual game, they even had to make a buy to play option to compete with it as it became the better choice for free to play gamers ( cause they had a steep buy to win thing going on).

I think monetizing mmorpg revivals is the shittiest idea I've heard in a while. One thing I love about games like Toontown Rewritten, Pirates Online rewritten, and soon Freerealms is that they're NON PROFIT. The act of reviving and playing old mmos is a way of sticking it to the gaming industry. Also, video games that you need internet connection to play are not a new trend. The first MMORPG was released in 1996.
