Guys, lets ALL stop being so NEGATIVE!
I'm not going to lie or start rumors, nothing. However, I will state my opinion, which I think I do not share enough haha
We all know that we haven't had any positive news regarding bringing Free Realms back to like since rewriting it got cancelled back in March, when Free Realms had its (emotional, especially for dedicated players) first closing anniversary. We haven't had much, if any, good news regarding bringing Free Realms back for getting on for maybe four months, give or take. Correct?
Well, we haven't had any bad news- okay that's a lie Restart. We haven't had any news saying that Daybreak will NOT resurrect Free Realms, have we? Just because someone unfortunately had no success bringing back our beloved game doesn't mean its gone.
You see, SOE had Copyright on Free Realms, didn't it, and we couldn't bring Free Realms back until 2017, yes?
If my solution is wrong, which I doubt, at least reopening the Realms in 2017 gives the world time to finish mourning, for people to [maybe] forget about Free Realms, and when it returns it will be new and exciting for a whole new generation of Gamers, as well as a miracle for us old players who played before the Great Free Realms Ectomy of 2014-2017. So, Daybreak's happy because they get a heck load of cash from Free Realms 2.0, if you will, new players will be happy with an exciting new game and old players of Free Realms 1.0 will be excited the Realms is back open. It's a win-win situation.
But my solution is more guess, to be honest. See my question/statement before? "SOE had Copyright on Free Realms, didn't it, and we couldn't bring Free Realms back until 2017, yes?" Well, seeing as SOE has been sold to Daybreak, surely that has corrupted the Copyright SOE set before Daybreak got hold of it. Also, seeing that when you currently go on the Free Realms website, you get taken to the Daybreak page, surely that means Free Realms belongs to Daybreak. So, my thinking is that the 2017 Copyright put on Free Realms is now invalid, as it has been sold.
With this in consideration, I’m guessing this means Daybreak could, for example, bring back Free Realms tomorrow, if they wished, because they have all the data in the SOE package they bought. I doubt that Daybreak would have bought SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) if one of the online games (maybe more, I don’t know as I only care about Free Realms haha) had a Copyright that they couldn’t trump, as that means a hell lot of money gone on a Online Game maker, WITH beloved game data attached, that couldn’t bring money in until the Copyright is gone.
I doubt that made much sense to be honest, so try thinking about it this way. YOU are Daybreak. YOU’ve just managed to buy SOE, Sony Online Entertainment, which YOU know has been successful before. But YOU, as head of Daybreak, are asked to sign something that refuses to let you reincarnate some of the games, including Free Realms which has been incredibly successful and players are still fighting to get it back. YOU have a choice, either pay less for SOE and sign the Copyright, OR you can pay slightly extra and offer something SOE cannot refuse yet you can regain the money on the games NOW. WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
I’m going, and however ridiculous this sounds it is NOT A JOKE, I’m going to either get us Free Realms back or pester Daybreak so much I get a Restraining Order.
WHO’S WITH ME???
